Art Rio!Martha Pagy Escritório de Arte traz ao público na ArtRio 2017 uma seleção de obras de quatro artistas. São eles Fábia Schnoor, Joe Seiler, Leonora Weissmann e Nitcho. A escolha dos quatros artistas deve-se ao fato de todos apresentarem aqui pinturas, mas cada um com uma técnica e um conceito totalmente diferente um do outro. Ainda hoje há muita discussão sobre o que é pintura. Há aqueles que classificam pelo suporte. Alguns não consideram papel como superfície para pintura. Por outro lado, temos os que consideram a técnica o fato de aplicar material líquido, oleoso ou até mesmo pó sobre uma superfície qualquer criando coloridos, nuances e texturas. ​Fábia ​Schnoor desenha com nanquim sobre papel. Sua técnica na utilização dessa tinta preta e da textura de seus suportes permite um resultado de pintura em que seu controle é bem preciso. São linhas bem orientadas que saltam do papel. A artista consegue uma tridimensionalidade na disposição do nanquim sobre o papel num belo resultado plástico. Joe Seiler nos apresenta obras feitas com canetas esferográficas em diversas cores. Numa dinâmica incessante transfere toda a tinta da caneta para o papel até esgotá-la. Uma depois da outra. Esse depósito de tinta faz com que o papel se sature transformando suas linhas, riscos e traços em pinceladas. Já Leonora Weissmann abusa muito bem das cores em suas telas com tinta acrílica e vinílica. Assim também como das formas. Ela detém cenas de seu cotidiano ou de suas memórias e as coloca em paisagens alegres com cores vibrantes e exuberância. Sentimos sua liberdade e segurança ao pintar. Nitcho, conhecido inicialmente por sua atuação em arte urbana, apresenta-nos um conjunto de obras em pequeno formato. São cenas de ruas com murais onde quase sempre temos a representação do grafite. São situações de seu cotidiano urbano como se fossem capturas fotográficas. Um registro de seu universo exterior. Franklin Espath Pedroso - Curador ................................................ Martha Pagy Escritório de Arte brings to the public of ArtRio 2017 a selected exhibition by four artists. They are Fábia Schnoor, Joe Seiler, Leonora Weissmann, and Nitcho. The choice of these four artists is due to the fact that each of them is presenting painting, however with techniques and concepts totally different from the other. What constitutes painting is still up for discussion. There are those that define it by its surface material. Others won't admit that paper is a painting surface. Still others consider the fact of applying liquid, oil, or even powder on any surface to create colors, nuances, and textures is painting. ​Fábia​ Schnoor draws with India ink on paper. Her technique in using the black ink combined with the texture of her surfaces permit her paintings to be precisely controlled. Her well-directed lines jump from the paper. The tridimensional quality of her line and the ink disposition on paper result in beautiful renderings. Joe Seiler brings us works made with ballpoint pens in many colors. He incessantly transfers ink from the ballpoint pen to paper until the cartridge is empty. One pen after another. This manner of depositing of ink to saturate the paper, transforms his lines, scratches, and traces into strokes. Now Leonora Weissmann makes good use of color in her canvases with acrylic and vinyl paints. Also of forms. She retains scenes from her daily life and her memories, placing them in happy landscapes of vibrant, exuberant color. The viewer experiences her freedom and confidence in painting. Nitcho, originally known for his urban art activities, brings us a collection of works in small format. They are street scenes with murals with some representations of graffiti.
